It appears that none of the stats in subject are updated anymore, with Einstein at Home data, since March 23d:

  • •

BOINC Statistics for the World stops with the situation on March 22nd; • the same is true for BOINC Combined Statistics;
• BOINCstats is slightly different: it does no longer open with my projects, I need to find myself from the top search, but once there progress shows OK. Side effect is that while Einstein´s certificate shows actual progress OK, the Cross-project certificate does not. It suffers from the same lack of data since March 23d, in the same way as shown at the bottom of the screen for my account, under ´Projects in which you are participating´.

Free-DC statistics still show OK, as does another one not showing anymore when launched from Einstein at Home, (BOINC) all Project Stats.

Is it only me? Maybe a side effect of the mishap with the RAID-array? Can it be solved?
It´s not of major importance of course, just slightly irritating (maybe only to me).

BOINC statistics do not update

BOINC Statistics for the World is also doing that with my stats for several days now.

We are generating stats as

We are generating stats as before and this is working as far as I can tell. You have to contact the stats sites and tell them to check how they download the stats from us. They should also know how to get in contact with us to troubleshoot any problems.

Problem with that is, I

Problem with that is, I honestly wouldn´t know how to do that, I really don´t. However, if I look at the one single stats for the world (boincsynergy), I would be surprised that it seems to be working allright, even for you: it appears that no data has been updated since 5.40 days (at this moment), so it is a general issue. Notice the item in red (for Einstein) at the right side here: http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/.

Looking a bit further, I notice mention of data not being provided (yet), or at least not in the proper XML format. Maybe that is something, possibly a link in the data to older / different URL in that XML?

The cross-project statistics (also shown in the section 'Projects in which you are participating' on users' account pages) are maintained on behalf of the whole BOINC community by boinc.netsoft-online.com, who also trade as BOINC Combined Statistics.

Since so many stats sites are down at the moment, and it isn't each to check the filenames visually with directory listing disabled, it might be helpful for the project to issue an official APB through the boinc_stats email list, advising stats operators to double-check that they are using the file names from https://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/stats/db_dump.xml

I noticed after the outage a subtle change.

If you were using wget for example to follow a series of http pages, after the outage, it failed after the first page.

This was easy to fix by following https links, but I'm wondering if this may be related.

The last message in the

The last message in the boinc_stats email list is from October 2014, I guess I could send a message there in the hope it reaches the right people.

Yes we changed the website to redirect to SSL shortly after the server change. We didn't change the filenames. I would have thought the stats sites have some monitoring enabled that tell them if the dumps can not be retrieved and adjust accordingly when they investigated.

It is strange that Boinc

It is strange that Boinc Synergy started doing this about 6 days ago since they usually keep it all up to date.

My luck I guess.......I had just got into the Top 2000 there finally

But it looks like it is only the Einstein stats that are missing for me.

Yup -- it looks like several

Yup -- it looks like several of the stats sites made a change together all at once regarding Einstein....

Alternatively, it might be that something Einstein did affected several different sites the same way.

But that might just be me.

Not a big deal, the Einstein site itself has the correct data.

SETI suffers the same issue

SETI suffers the same issue now but only since yesterday - no data update since 1.63 days at this moment of writing - could be some maintenance there, but I didn´t check. Einstein now is at -6.56 days. A pity this destroys the easy and straight forward overview on the user´s account page.

Oh well, I can still use All Project Stats to look at my lowly but accurate results. It´s a click more, but that does not really matter, as I use to waste quite some time after that, dreaming about it. 😉

If you draw the conclusion from the following that I gave up on SETI (quite some time ago) and that MilkyWay is my backup project, then that would be correct as well indeed.

Yes, SETI has some servers

Yes, SETI has some servers down at the moment. I think that the body of evidence is pointing towards problems or changes at the projects (source of the data), rather than at the stats sites themselves.
