Yes, Heffed is right.
For your info, the rules are basically like this:
If you send in a result late, and if that wu has been validated by that time, then you will get no credit.
If you send in a result late but before validation happened for that wu, then you do get credit. In effect if two people are both late, it becomes a race between them!
If you send in a wu before the deadline, then you get credit so long as your wu passes validation
Obviously the rules are made this way to encourage us not to take too long crunching a wu.
By the way, if you let other people see your computers it is easier for us to discover what went wrong for you. If you click on my name, and then view my computers, you will see some info about my machines. The same sort of info will become visible if you allow us to see your machines. This is entirely your choice, how far you prefer privacy and how far you prefer help!

No.
If you send in a result late, and if that WU has been DELETED by that time, then you will get no credit.
Often WU are deleted immediately after validation, but not always. They are not deleted after validation if there is another result 'in progress' which is not yet past the deadline.
