My inquiry was in terms of avoidance rather than acquisition. As long as gliding distances don't come into it I'm safe. There is a skunk works that has produced some great flying examples :
I think BOINC could benefit from a Skunkrotron Project. Download packets of whiff and report back. Compare the scents produced by different collision parameters eg. head-to-head, tail-to-tail, that sort of thing. A kind of Distributed Nose activity. I foresee savage competition for the honor.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Pepe had it all. The same plot/formula ran so well time and time again. The unlucky cat and the bucket of paint, an amorous skunk, the outrageous French accent, the biohazard odour, the 'assertive embrace', you can run but never hide ....
As for Mr Ed it was only in later years that I discovered that the guy who played Wilbur was a well rated serious actor.
Cheers, Mike.

I get MeTV on U-Verse. I love it. :-) MASH at 4 PM and 4:30 PM weekdays, Quincy at 8 AM, followed by Rockford at 9 weekdays. Black Sheep Squadron at 4 PM Sundays... GREAT shows!!! :-)

Yes Alan Young (born Angus Young) was in that movie *The Time Machine* the year before Mr. ED started on tv and he is still alive today (95 tears old)

I'm a late night guy and a bit older so those don't seem old to me yet but Rockford Files (with 2 or my favorite actors ever) and Quincy are on my favs list.
But I like watching the real old ones on the weekend like Naked City,The Saint,Route 66,Car 54,Gomer Pyle,Dobie,Get Smart,Lost in Space,Andy Griffith,The Rifleman
And some of the old 90 minute tv shows like Banacek,Columbo, and McCloud.
I found that MeTV doesn't have the same schedule on every channel they have around the country so mine is KVOS in Seattle on the Dish
Wow. Alan/Angus Young is still alive ! That's the sort of continuity there should be more of in the universe. I've just dug out the very 1st Mr Ed episode on YouTube. I had never seen that one before. Cool groove. I have retreated back to my childhood ( or my delusion of adulthood has lifted ).
I should watch Lost In Space, but I don't think I could stand seeing Dr Smith again ! I hated his guts then and I still do ! Kurt Russell played a brief part once. He did well later on too, AFAIK he avoided much of the tragic child-star stuff. Does anyone remember either Donna Reed or Patty Duke ?
Cheers, Mike.

RE: ROFL ! :-) My inquiry
I was starting to think you were ready and waiting for the first batch of skunks via the Skunkrotron®© ™ Dr. Mike
I am about to start negotiations with FermiLab and Cern for the rights to use my design of the new......

I wasn't holding off waiting
I wasn't holding off waiting for delivery. I was researching a good old time cartoon character favorite of mine :
Ah Pepe ! That dear long suffering cat ( Penelope ? ), episode after episode .... :-)
Cheers, Mike.
( edit ) They could never produce that cartoon these days. So non-PC in so many ways .... :-)

YEP......I watched Pepe Le Pew back in the 60's when they had good cartoons and tv shows. ( and yes that is Penelope the cat)
Felix the Cat was another one I watched.

I even made my kid watch episode of Mr Ed that I recorded back in the 80's before he went to school.
The good old days.
Of all the tv channels I have to pay for via satellite I watch the one called MeTV that shows old tv shows from the 50's -70s early 80's
