Well, the man deserves to be picked-on for a lot of things. I'm not being relative or comparing him to others. Pick someone, anyone, who speaks a lot in public (on the radio, TV, during a book tour...) and eventually they will say something that isn't *exactly* what they were thinking. Their mouth runs while the connection to their brain falters.

What I understand the man to have said was, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

As far as I know, there is no evidence that he did anything remotely like that, legislatively or any-other-ly. He probably did have some legislative duty that had something to do with something that had something to do with DARPA, or something, that at least tangentially referenced the internet.

I'm guessing he was a member of Congress and voted for the budget that included that in it, thereby sealing his place in history in his mind.

Hi TL04, it is now almost 7pm at my place.

Good grief, Mike. Real

Good grief, Mike.

Real person (check)
Might be mentioned (might be checked)
History of physics (check)

Would you start allowing questions?

If so, I would want to ask, "Might be?" Are you just saying that an author might leave a semi-physicist out, or are you saying that the person in question isn't a physicist as we know the field, but might be mentioned, or that a physicist might or might not be mentioned?

A physics history might include some attempt to explain that it was Swedish hair braids that first inspired the steel cables for suspension bridges or something and the reason we ventured off into gods is if you do it too tight you get a Thor head.

I think he was looking for aliens. There is a rumored doorway down there and he is too lazy to wait for 'global warming' to uncover it.

It seems that the comet that Rosetta is orbiting is exceedingly black with a bit of white on top. So the answer to Dr Hewson's conundrum is Beamish stout.

@ everyone :)))))))))

@ everyone :)))))))))

Okay... so on top of everything puzzling me so far - I'm now obsessing over "Two Ones"

What does it meeean? Have I missed something? Two competitions in one? Some binary stuff? Eleven? (So theoretical dimensions maybe? - ooh interesting) A 1 and then another 1 a little bit after the first 1 (but then that becomes three 1's and then as you can see, the two ones have now become four etc etc...)?

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

You are definitely on the right track here Tbret !
I believe those are the braids of Agnetha Fältskog !
My guess of ABBA was closer than Mike would admit ....
