Website performance problems resolved!

Hi everyone,

We resolved the performance issues of our main website. As it seems the performance now even surpasses that of the original setup - nice. There might be a few quirks left in terms of missing resources or broken (internal) links. Please let us know when you find any.

Thanks for your patience!

Oliver

I am not sure if this is

I am not sure if this is related to the website or not but I noticed recently that I was no longer getting E-mails since the beginning of November from the Einstein@Home website. Since I run my own Postfix mail server, I see this in previous log files:

maillog-20141112.gz:Nov 11 14:09:47 Mail postfix/smtpd[22753]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from umail.aei.mpg.de[194.94.224.6]: 450 4.1.8 : Sender address rejected: Domain not found; from= to= proto=ESMTP helo=
maillog-20141117.gz:Nov 16 15:11:39 Mail postfix/smtpd[4702]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from umail.aei.mpg.de[194.94.224.6]: 450 4.1.8 : Sender address rejected: Domain not found; from= to= proto=ESMTP helo=

It appears that the E-mail messages sent for subscribed threads and private messages are being sent from a non valid domain. Einstein5.atlas.local is not a valid domain and does not resolve. I was able to bypass this restriction by turning off the option for reject_unknown_sender_domain in Postfix. However, other people here on the forums may be running into the same issue depending on how their mail service provider is configured.

Thanks,

Jeroen

That should have been fixed

That should have been fixed two days ago, the sender should now be as it was before.

Is the link Arecibo Binary

Is the link

Arecibo Binary Pulsar Search - 2014/11/05

correct? It only seems to give discoveries up to Dec 2010 in spite of its recent date.

The date you quote is the date of the latest update/deployment of the web page itself, not necessarily the content.
