I think work is refused to soon:

12-06-05 16:59:25|Einstein@Home|Message from server: No work sent
12-06-05 16:59:25|Einstein@Home|Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 99.2% of time, BOINC on 100.0% of that, this project gets 16.7% of that
12-06-05 16:59:25|Einstein@Home|No work from project
12-06-05 16:59:26|Einstein@Home|Deferring communication with project for 1 days, 8 hours, 7 minutes, and 50 seconds

Look at the uptime. Also, it only has one CPDN unit and a couple of Predictor units. (It's an AthlonXP 2100+)

I also had similar refusals on my Athlon64 3200+. It's up 25% of the time, but quite fast, and it's refused a bunch of WU's from different projects although it only had a CPDN unit.

I have connect time set at 7 days.

Einstein refuses work with BOINC CC 4.45 (for John)

A few minutes later there are 4 Einstein WU's downloaded, without any message about it in the BOINC CC?

Willy,

can you send me the log this is in?

If not, can I have the prior lines ... I usually include at least the scheduler request/response to make a better example... and usually if there is one thing interesting in the log, there will be something else (if the past is a guide)....

p.d.buck-[at]-comcast.net

Thanks ...

This is generated server side, not client side. Since I cannot compile *nix code, I cannot work on the server.

i could sit here till the 12th of never and i'd not see a new einstein WU downloaded with 4.45...but that's okay...'cause i know you're working on it.
i've had this issue on BOINC 4.43, 4.44 and 4.45...i have rolled back to 4.25
till a new version of BOINC solves this problem...i do try every version available
when they are made public...and i'll try again to see if you've got the fix on the next one.

You'd see a message alike this in the messages tab:
13/06/2005 19:25:10|Einstein@Home|Sending scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi
13/06/2005 19:25:10|Einstein@Home|Requesting 86400 seconds of work, returning 0 results
13/06/2005 19:25:11|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi succeeded
13/06/2005 19:25:12||request_reschedule_cpus: files downloaded

So yeah, downloads are not visible, but uploads are.

I have not pawed through my logs, but Einstein@Home does not always have to download a file to assign more work to you. You get a HUGE file, about 10M in size, and then get assignments to process parts of that file. So, once you have that file you may use if for many Work Units before you have to download another Work Unit Input File.

Well, I know this. And what I meant was: those messages were not in my log.
