Howdy Everyone !
Mike, nice job on figuring that out ! (I'm not surprised )
I first spotted the space station a couple of years ago (purely by chance) I looked up and saw an object brighter than Jupiter crossing the sky and thought, "What the H is that ?" It looks quite impressive !

I have seen both the ISS and the Space Shuttle from my home, both in the very early 4:30am ish time frame, but on different days of course. They are BOTH cool to watch as they zoom thru the night sky. Although I live in a neighborhood at 4:30am it is still pretty dark, no street lights and only a few porch lights, so seeing them was COOL!!! My kids though did NOT like getting up, my wife even less!!
Well, like submarine hunting, I ought score an assist on that. Make it 1.5 ... :-)
OK, on a lighter note, a true story :
As per a prior thread, scenes from the movie Healing were shot at Healesville Sanctuary. My wife works there. She could sell you a ticket to tickle a platypus tummy if you like. Anyhows one day when they are shooting with no less than Hugo Weaving about, the call goes forth for extras from the admin staff. My nearest and dearest quickly replies, obviously, with :

No way. I haven't had my hair done.
... as you do. Right. Uh huh. Yup. But it turns out she would have been 50 meters into the background, in shot but out of focus.
So now the household joke is that she knocked back a role with Mr Weaving, starring as an amorphous blob.
Cheers, Mike.
NB. I have risked my life today to bring this story to the wider world. Remember me when I'm gone.

Just had a wonderful conversation with my son, who should be completing his tour in the Navy this fall and coming home. Can't wait!
Hey Phil, that is GREAT !
Yes, Mike does like to live dangerously ! Mike, you may want to take up 'Base Jumping' that's those Idjots who dive off of cliffs hoping the chute opens before they hit bottom! There was some very humorous videos on youtube of some of them diving off, and then smacking into the side of the cliff repeatedly when the chute malfunctioned )

RE: I have risked my life
Ah, Mike likes to live dangerously. When I was married I would rather have played tag with a cobra than steam the other half.
