Nah! General disk space is definitely not a problem, still have like 1/3rd free on it...
I do have my regular maintenance routines of cleaning crap out...
Still looking for an affordable, proper NAS though...
The ones actually worth considering are still in the € 400~500,- range... :-/
Transfer to the external 1TB USB disk is slow as mud running uphill...
However, I'll let it keep crunching numbers now and see how the disk usage changes after the next transmission/WU-request.

I too am still looking for a good NAS, I have bought several cheap ones but they aren't worth the powder to blow them up!! I am now using an internal 2tb drive I put in a cruncher and that drive is ONLY used for backups, with most of my other machines using that 2tb drive as their backup drive. I also have an external 3tb drive that a friend gave me after he messed it up, that I was able to fix, that I use to backup the backups periodically. A couple of my machines have their own internal backup drives they use, they have more data so it is easier then sending it over my network in the middle of the night. I use the free version of Macrium Reflect, it ONLY does full image backups, the pay version will do incremental backups, but it works for me. I backup most pc's monthly and then delete the old version so the 2tb drive doesn't get too full. The few pc's that backup to internal drives do the backups every few days and use the pay version.
Drive space is always a problem if you run multiple projects, but Einstein seems to be the biggest space user for me right now. I keep my cache at 0.50 and 0.25, if it were bigger I am pretty sure the drive would have even more files on it!! I also tend to focus on one project at a time, one for the cpu and a different one for the gpu, rarely the same for both.
I've just set up a Omninas KD20, with a total of 7TB on drives onboard. A 3TB we already had and a new 4TB drive. It's happily sitting on my network. Took me approx. 45 minutes in all.
The NAS itself was about €100,-
The 4TB drive another €120,-
Now I'll have to try to detach it from the RJ45 and see if it works on Wifi. But I doubt it. ;-)
