Hello,

I noticed the credit for a single file on an Android device is the same as the credit for a BRP4 CPU.

My observation is that even on the fastest Android device you can get at this time (I'm running it on the Snapdragon 800) it is still about +6 hours continuously computing. That is using (the quickest) one core only.

Wouldn't it be nice to get for these NEON-tasks some more credit because of the duration of these files? BRP4 GPU tasks get more credit too. Even if for different reasons with GPU tasks it could be more stimulating to get more Android devices crunching. At minimum if credit is the factor for people to dedicate their phones/tablets.

Credit BRP4 Android

Credits should reflect the amount of computing done.
Deviating from that is a slippery slope where in the end credits lose whatever little meaning it has today. Like inflation in economics, eventually the money becomes worthless.

Nope, they don't.

BRP4G (GPU) "tasks" are actually "bundles" of 16 BRP4 (CPU) tasks, and consequently the former get exactly 16 times the credit of the latter.

On E@H we try to follow the "same credit for same work" rule as closely as possible.
