I just brought online a win 7 box with a GEFORCE 8400 GS. Initially I had downloaded and processed some GAMMA RAY Pulsar jobs. I changed to only process Arecibo GPU and Perseus jobs. The GAMMA RAY Pulsar jobs completed and I was expecting to see some GPU WUs come down. They did not. My Utilization factor is set for .33 which seems to work fine for a Linux node processing E@H.

I looked in the log in my account and there are three entries that might inidicate a problem:

1. GPU RAM required max: 314572800.000000, supplied: 268435456.000000

2. driver version required max: -29053, supplied: 31106

3. set_trust: error rate 0.095000 > 0.050000, don't trust

Could my .33 utilization setting be a problem for this card?

also if i click on the Projects tab, highlight E@H, and click on the "properties" button to the left I get:

NVIDIA GPU work fetch deferred for 00:21:39
NVIDIA GPU work fetch deferral interval 00:20:00

An "update" to the project seems to reset the above values. A reset on the project had no positive effect.

Seems to me your card has too little memory: 256MB when E@H requires 314MB.
Maybe changing to 1.0 utilization factor can help since now you're trying to cram three work units onto the poor card. Just a guess.

You can probably pick up a cheap card for less than the electricity cost of running that old one :)

Your right. I have already been looking for "sales" on another 650Ti. I am hoping to score a cheap price in the days ahead as everyone is looking at the newer models.
