The reason why I post

The reason why I post this:
odd behaviour when running a mix of two projects. Lots of bad results when using native BOINC, looks to work fine with
official BOINC.

wu's from 25th and 26th Jul:
pogs only, native BOINC
13 wu's not yet finished

wu's from 23rd to 25th jul
mix of pogs and Einstein
Berkeley BOINC
all wu's (Einstein and pogs) validated, one Einstein waiting for validation

wu's from 18th to 23rd jul
mix of pogs and Einstein
native BOINC
~60% of pogs wu's faild to validate or had error during calculation
1 Einstein wu failed

http://pogs.theskynet.org/pogs/results.php?hostid=7962 native BOINC
http://pogs.theskynet.org/pogs/results.php?hostid=8965 Berkeley BOINC

http://einsteinathome.org/host/8232905/tasks Berkeley BOINC
http://einsteinathome.org/host/8007044/tasks native BOINC

The device and settings are always the same.

At google groups
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/boinc-android-testing/l27QeghRwMQ

Iris Ailin-Pyzik is also posting similar problems, also running pogs and Einstein together.

Since there are 4 major variables (2 projects, 2 BOINC's) I post that @ pogs and @ Einstein.
Daniel Carrion is informed, he has put my hosts on his watch list.

What I can do (and will do this evening):
Odroid has a new version of Android available
CyanogenMod has a stable v10 Version available (currently RC3 installed)

I'll build a new SD-Card, recheck that behaviour, and install a SSH Terminal and VNC Server for diagnostic purposes.

Samsung Galaxy sIII Android

Samsung Galaxy sIII
Android version 4.1.2

I received the following error:

computation error

I have tried to use the trash can to stop the task, but it persists. Here is a screenshot:

(Samsung Galaxy

(Samsung Galaxy Victory)

Not getting any errors I can see, but it stopped activating when I plug in. It does activate & compute when I launch it manually. Application said 0 processes and 1 restarting.

Rebooted and it's working again, but if I hadn't been paying attention it would still be not running since I had no other problems with the phone.

Maybe next time I'll use the "report" button in the app manager if that might help.

How did this WU by John Ayo

How did this WU by John Ayo get validated: http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/171309234 The difference to the Phenom II seems just so strange.

Well I completed my first

Well I completed my first task on a toshiba Thrive BRP Arecibo which took 125,407 seconds (34.8 hrs). Waiting for validation.

I played a bit with settings and now I'm getting a message that says I have to free -0.0 MB to download task.

I also have trouble scrolling through the client messages which are filled with checkpoint entries. It will scroll down then just pop back on it's own.

RE: Downloaded BOINC

Quote:
Downloaded BOINC Android on Motorola RAZR M, installed fine and has completed one einstein@home work unit.
Do not see any way to force report of work unit waiting.
WiFi is on and running. Will BOINC manager to report the completed work unit automatically?

Yes it will. Like the desktop version of BOINC, results are not always reported immediately in order to be able to report several results in one server contact. But if no second result finishes soon afterwards, even a single result will be reported. This feature is mainly implemented to ease the load on the project servers.

You can manually force reporting results:
- Make sure you got a WIFI internet connection (or disable this respriction in the preferences if you have a flat rate)

- go to the projects tab

- select the project you want to report to

- in the menu dialog that comes up, select "Update"

Have a problem with stall of computation on Samsung gs2. After little babysitting ;-) seems like battery overheats and client switch to suspended status. Then after while computing resumes but running tasks percentage stays still. And with suspending and resuming task restarts and new cycle begins...

Thanks for the report.

We are looking into a problem where the app gets stuck after frequent suspend-resume cycles. Stay tuned.
