Hi,
when do you plan to support OpenCL for Intel GPGPUs on Linux? Intel develops the OpenCL drivers here: http://wiki.freedesktop.org/www/Software/Beignet/
I'm happy to test it on i5-4430 and E3-1285v3.

That looks like a nice project but the TODO list on the referenced page seems to indicate this is not yet complete and mature. If there were other projects supporting this I would be more convinced. Are there any you know of?

Cheers

I'm not aware of any project

I'm not aware of any project supporting Intel GPUs in Linux. However, I'm also not aware of any other project supporting Intel GPUs in Windows - so I might not be the best informed person here ;)

I'm not running many projects beside Einstein@home. I saw you support it in Windows so hoped you can easily port this to Linux too and since I see you as one of the projects supporting new technology quickly I asked.

Collatz also uses Intel GPUs

Collatz also uses Intel GPUs under Windows. Don't know about Linux there, though.

After days of trying, and a trip to the computer shop to have them repair all the mistakes I made, I've concluded you can't run the Intel GPU if you already have two dual proccessor cards in your box. If someone can prove me wrong, I'd love to donate the additional time three i7 HD processors could crunch to Einstein. Regards, Rick

Do provide us with additional info, like
1] Motherboard brand & name
2] RAM-type & speed
3] GPU model (gtx690 I presume)
4] Other projects running on it
5] The first 50 lines of BOINC event log

Is it this host?

E@H preferences:
Use INTEL GPU: yes
Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo): yes
Run CPU versions of applications for which GPU versions are available: no

Yes I did get it working on both of my i7-4770's:) I had to order an HDMI to VGA cable before I can tackle my i7-3770. Thanks to all of you for the help. Regards, Rick

Update, although I got the Intel_GPU working on both of my i7-4770's I found the voltage dropped 75% on the first core of my dual GTX690's, resulting in the GPU down-clocking by 75% on that core. This is dispite having a 1200 watt power supply installed. Not sure if it's a physical limitation of the Intel motherboard (that's what Micro Center Tech Support told me), or something else. So I had to turn off the Intel GPU because the added processing power of the Intel GPU was much less than the 75% loss of proccessing power I lost on my GTX690 core. I'm open to any and all suggestions, and comments. Thanks in advance, Rick

Is the nVidia starved for CPU

Is the nVidia starved for CPU support and hence downclocks itself into a power-saving mode? How is the GPU load?
