I can't gete any cpu brp4 work. Is there some kind of server based rule that give BRP4 work only to slow cpus?

There is plenty of ready to send BRP4 tasks on the server status page. but i get the message "no work is available"

I have no problem getting BRP5 or FGRRP2 work.

No BRP4 cpu work

One of my CPU-only hosts was not getting any BRP4 until I noticed that I had not clicked the "Run CPU versions of applications for which GPU versions are available" option for the location (aka venue) it uses. This caught me by surprise, as I thought BRP4 was not longer being distributed in GPU form and did not suppose this option would matter.

Could the problem I had be the problem you have? The very next update after I changed this option I got several BRP4 WUs.

Yes. You are right! I just followed your advice and select the "Run CPU versions of applications for which GPU versions are available" and received 16 new tasks.

That's odd, as the BRRP 4 search is no longer available for the GPU's. But that worked.

I imagine other volunteers can be experiencing the same problem.

LOL... Sometimes going

LOL...

Sometimes going back and pushing all the different buttons again (one at a time, of course) IS a good thing. ;-)

At one crucial point in the powered descent of Apollo 11 to the Moon's surface, Buzz Aldrin quickly fixed an important problem by 'cycling the circuit breaker' ie. turning the switch to OFF, and then back to ON again. :-) :-)

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) And because they accidentally broke off a ( weakly constructed ) circuit breaker earlier, the ascent stage ( ie. to get off the Moon ) had to be triggered by poking a biro pen tip into the switch !! Buzz later commented upon the importance of not selecting components according to a price level .... :-) :-)

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Sorry for this mis-configuration on the project side.

Should be fixed now, i.e. you should get BRP4 CPU tasks regardless of this setting now (unless you opted out of BRP4 app completely).
