QUITE FREQUENTLY (DAILY), MY COMPUTER FREEZES UP & I HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE COMPUTER TO REBOOT. (CTRL-ALT-DEL DOES NOT WORK EITHER).

PROBLEM EXISTS SINCE ADDING BOINC TO MY SYSTEM. (SETI OUTSIDE OF BOINC HAD NO PROBLEMS)
I'M RUNNING WINDOWS XP WITH 1.83 GHZ AMD PROCESSOR & 224 MB RAM.

ANYBODY ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM??

ANY SUGGESTED FIXES??

SINCERELY
LOUIS

Fix your caps lock key ;^) [[scnr]]

Seriously, your box does not have a working cooling system or is overclocked. Try to run it with the case opened, if that works it is sure the missing cooling. Check fans, maybe replace them. Clean the dust and such ...

Louis; aside from Wurql's

Louis; aside from Wurql's excellent suggestion on doing some housekeeping and upgrading your Heatsink and cooling fans, I would strongly recommend you add some more memory to your system. I will not run Einstein on any rig without a minimum of 512 meg of ram. You will notice a big difference. See also here:
