I have noticed i haven't gotten any cpu work for a week or 2 for this project..i am continually getting gpu tasks but no cpu..is this bionics way of evening things out somehow?(i am participating in 4 projects)...or is this some setting i have overlooked?.

Gpu work but No cpu work

Possibly your host has not been requesting any CPU work, as you surmise, BOINC running on it may think you ought to be getting some work from other projects.

You can always look at a transaction log regarding your most recent scheduler contact with Einstein for the one host which shows on your account here:

latest scheduler log for host 6738453

Just before I posted this, I checked and the two crucial lines at that moment looked like this:

Quote:
2013-04-08 01:48:38.3729 [PID=8611 ] [send] CPU: req 0.00 sec, 0.00 instances; est delay 0.00
2013-04-08 01:48:38.3729 [PID=8611 ] [send] ATI: req 0.00 sec, 0.00 instances; est delay 0.00

(my emphasis)

so for that interaction your host was requesting zero CPU and zero GPU work.

That's because you are running the Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo) v1.34 (opencl-ati) tasks. Each of these tasks takes at least one cpu core, more in some cases, to make it crunch faster. This is by design by Einstein and although there is a way around it, the units will take FOREVER to finish if you do.

BTW it is Boinc, not Bionics.

Is it possible that boinic is

Is it possible that boinic is choosing to not get any work for this project to somehow even things out?..i have not gotten any work now for a couple days when i update this is what i get...

4/14/2013 12:09:16 AM | Einstein@Home | update requested by user
4/14/2013 12:09:18 AM | Einstein@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
4/14/2013 12:09:18 AM | Einstein@Home | Not reporting or requesting tasks
4/14/2013 12:09:19 AM | Einstein@Home | Scheduler request completed

it seems like it finished the last couple tasks a day or so ago and nothing new is coming my way..the other 3 projects have continued to send work each day.

edit..running on 7.0.28..windows x86_64 amd 6 core processor.

I went and reset project last

I went and reset project last night and that didnt seem to help..i figured why not remove and add since that didnt work and everything seems to be back to normal now..getting tasks for cpu and gpu...will just have to wait to see how things go in the next week or so.

I've had similar experiences;

I've had similar experiences; in the end it's mostly just been a case of checking the settings, then waiting. I wonder if it's worth suspending other projects for a while, to see if that gets the ball rolling?

Added new computer to

Added new computer to project, total work done did not move to new computer, it started at zero, why does it not know i'm already doing work on 3 other computers?

Total work done is the total

Total work done is the total work done by the particular machine. If you have two different machines you have two different values in the field total work. You are misinterpreting the field.

The username doesnt matter, neither the password, what identifies the user is the email address used to sign in. If you use different mails then you would end with different users even if the username and password were the same.

That's valid for the total work shown in the hosts webpage.
In the BOINC manager, in the projects tab (advanced mode), the total work done is the total of the user, not the total of the host if a host contacts the project now and other a bit later the total may be slightly different due to one of them updated more recently than the other.
