Using two graphic cards in parallel

I plugged an additional graphic card into my computer (Intel i7-3820, x79 chip set, WindowsXP SP3) Now two cards are working side by side: GTS450 and GTX660. Hardware profile is showing them as properly installed (no yellow warning signs). GPU-Z detects them both and shows their features.
But BOINC seems to only use the GTX660.
1. What do I have to do to have them both working for BOINC?
2. I would like the GTS450 to be the video output for the screen because I need to use an old screen which uses a VGA connection. The GTX660 card does not provide that kind of video output.

Boinc will only use the most capable by default, to use both you need to make a cc_config.xml (with Notepad) with the following in it, drop it in your Boinc Data directory and restart Boinc:

If you're got the filename right (and not cc_config.xml.txt), and you're put the file in the right directory you should get the following in your Boinc startup messages:

To change your primary display, right click on the desktop, select properties, then the settings tab, Click on the Monitor picture for the Display you want to use as primary, and select the 'Use this device as the primary monitor' box.

There are converters available for DVI->VGA. Are you sure there's none in the box of the videocard(s)? All of my videocards came with one. They look like this:

Thank you very much. I overlooked that adapter, because it came in a small paper box without any printing outside. If you hadn't reminded me to have a look for it, I surely would have thrown it away along with the wrapping material.
