I went to the Einstein prefs and changed a few settings such as not to receive gravitational wave searches and not to use the cpu if gpu tasks are available. I wanted to just run the pulsar searches with the GPU. But, I was unable to get any work.
I changed all the settings back to what they were b4 and still can't get any Einstein work. I suspended all other projects and still nothing.
Any ideas for me? Thanks in advance!

Seems I found the problem... 4 older tasks that I had paused were causing me not to get any new work at all till I either completed them or aborted them. Hopefully all is well now.

That's not a problem - it's a very important 'feature' :-).
BOINC is designed to protect projects from having their tasks grow stale and eventually exceed deadline. If a host were able to continue downloading fresh work while old tasks lay forgotten and suspended, you can imagine how this would disadvantage both the project and other users who were waiting for those results to be completed. By having the client refuse to ask for new work, it's a lot more likely the user will notice and actually do something about the suspended tasks.
I'm very happy to see you have discovered how to get the tasks you want through preferences rather than allowing everything to download and then aborting or suspending what you don't want. Because of the project's success in finding lots of previously unknown pulsars, there has been a dramatic increase in participation, particularly for BRP4 tasks, to the extent that the servers are being severely stressed. Anything that we can do to ease the burden would be much appreciated by the project staff. Not wasting server resources in dealing with unwanted tasks and data downloads is something that everyone can help with.
So, thanks very much for sorting this out.
Cheers,
Gary.
