Hopefully we aren't causing

Hopefully we aren't causing more harm than good. We're probably all going to get spankings from the Devs for forcing work units to download that we weren't supposed to get or something. :)

Ooops!

"It's all Bruno's fault, he made me do it!"

LOL.

But I can as I've noticed that followup communications to the scheduler seem to be failing again. I presume that the fix will be to update preferences yet again. Obviously we don't want to have to keep doing this for very long. I've started a thread in this forum asking the developers for a response about this. Hopefully somebody in the know can give us some easily visible advice fairly quickly.

Cheers,
Gary.

Yes he certainly does and he had to say it twice before any of us took proper notice. I remember reading his first post and thinking "How the hell could he be getting new work when all the rest of us are having no joy whatsoever. He must have a large cache and be mistaking it for new work."

Then he said it again with the magic words "update preferences" and.....

Just in the nick of time too!! I had five boxes that were between 93% and 98% on their last work unit so it was very useful information.

Rockenstein Rulez!!!

Cheers,
Gary.

I just noticed the "scheduler

I just noticed the "scheduler problem" on my machine, looked on the site and found this thread. Within 5 minutes, I'm "back in the saddle again". Amazing what a little know-how and communication can do.

Thanks a lot and Great Job!

Well, certainly no fault of your own. I've come to apreciate BOS quite a bit since it was released. Thanks for the great work!

Rockenstein, nice catch! Updating general preferences worked like a charm for me too.

I guess there was an update

I guess there was an update that was not so good.

My last scheduler replies on all machines have

430

Now the scheduler says

468

and BOINC seems not to recognize the replies.
