Did you accept the warning when installing the Beta drivers? (Because 290.53 & 301.24 are Beta drivers and not WHQL drivers, so won't install without your agreement)
No warnings seen, but in each case I confirmed the version active via the Nvidia Control Panel.
Have you restarted your computer after installing the drivers?
You bet! In fact, I just completed a full Nvidia uninstall and a reinstall of 290.53 and, after BOINCing with that with no success, I installed 301.24, again with no joy. Lots of reboots in that lot!
Another thing I did was try seti@home, GPU version. It's happily running...

Well - those SETI GPU WUs must have come down when 290.53 was active 'cause no more came down, in 301.24, after they were done. So I went back from 301.24 to 290.53 and the SETI WUs are now flowing.
I also activated CPU WUs for Einstein and they are flowing too, so the project knows about me! So why no Einstein GPU WUs??
If.NVIDIA control panel is saying anything besides 295 and 296, you may want to try running driver sweeper and/or detaching from Einstein and reattaching.
This may be a long shot, but try enabling CPU work for Einstein as well as GPU work. See what happens...
Drivers 290.53 and below or 301.24 (Beta) should work fine here on your 460, Mine do!
I have tried in the past to set up a GPU only host for Einstein and ended up with no work, like you.
IIRC (and I will stand to be corrected) the Einstein project and its funding are based on the fact that participatants crunch the main field of research, which is CPU based at the moment. The GPU work is essentially a (albeit, very worthwhile and productive) sideline project.
You may not be getting the BRP tasks for the GPU because you are not doing the S6LV task for the CPU.

There should have been a warning saying Windows doesn't know the publisher of those Beta drivers in Red, and options to install or not install,
(I've just installed the dev 302.59 drivers to be sure.)
Is there some sort of voodoo involved? or am I (as, I suspect) a complete boofoon?
Anyway, back to the OP. I see you are running boinc 7.xx.xx You may not be getting work because your cache has been fully filled by your other projects.
Try setting your current active projects to NO NEW TASKS and wait to see if you get work from Einstein (once your cache runs down).

Got to be worth trying.

Unfortunately, Nvidia Control Panel is saying "Nvidia Control Panel application 4.4.730.0 has stopped working"!! But I'm pretty sure it's at 290.53.
Installed that but it was over my head so I did nothing.
Since I'm running Einstein CPU WUs I'll finish them and then try that.
Thanks!

Because, as of 20 May 2012 17:18:47 UTC, your driver is still recognized as 296.1 by the BOINC client.
