First, I tried a POST TO THREAD in Cruncher's Corner. Was told "In order to create a new[!!] thread in Cruncher's Corner...". So I'm here.
ASUS GTX 460 - installed Nvidia driver 290.53 - set preferences for Nvidia GPU only.
When I do an Update in BOINC 7.0.25(64) I get 'deferred for 24 hours'. Tried a project reset. No difference.
Help please!

I think you may need to look at your driver version again, it looks like somehow you have upgraded to one of the versions that does not work with Einstein.

Thanks for that Michael. I downloaded 301.10 but the install failed "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphic hardware".
Perhaps my modest GTX 460 cannot contribute to einstein@home?

Drivers above 301.xx are currently only available in Beta (test) form, except for some special drivers released to support new hardware only.
If you're prepared to run the Beta version, v301.24 is available for your hardware/OS at http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-301.24-beta-driver.html - that's the US-English version, other languages are available.
Otherwise, there are reports that the next WHQL (certified) version may be released in the next couple of days, if you prefer to wait.

Downloaded and installed 301.24. There is a change! Instead of 24 hour defers I'm now on one minute defers. Perhaps the work queue is empty?

Your GPU is still listed as "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (1024MB) driver: 29610". So, if you can't get the 301.xx drivers to run, you should consider downgrading to 290.xx or lower.

Downloaded and installed 290.53. No change except deferrments vary from one minute to one day.
So far I've tried:

No joy yet!

Did you accept the warning when installing the Beta drivers? (Because 290.53 & 301.24 are Beta drivers and not WHQL drivers, so won't install without your agreement)
