After the latest Boinc update, I kept getting 'computation error' in my tasks

So I un-installed Boinc, the program and the windows 'all users file'

I re-installed, but the task, I am running is crawling along , my comp is on 24hrs, most of the time doing nothing but Einstein , other times just visiting a few message boards etc, so no other heavy use.

Have I missed something in preferences ?

should I tick the gpu ( mine is old) don't think it's up to it

Reinstalled Bonic/Einstein and it is very slow

What is the setting for:

Suspend work if CPU usage is above XX %

If set to low Boinc will suspend when a other process is running.

Hi!

Actually I think the processing speed was OK (until 4th of May) for the host you are using, an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ which was first released around 2009 latest. The GPU isn't used by BOINC as it probably lacks CUDA or OpenCL capabilities.

All tasks since then were aborted and I don't see any output from them that would help to diagnose the problem.

What exactly is "slow"?

Cheers

My problems started within my

My problems started within my firewall

But when , I cleared everything and reloaded Boinc

my first task, at first said, 9hrs to complete
then it said 26hrs to complete,
why I came on here was because , that 1st new task had run for nearly 40hrs and wasn't even 50% complete.

So cleared system and have reloaded Boinc and started again

will keep in touch

Thanks

Managed to get ONE 'Binary

Managed to get ONE 'Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo) v1.22 (BRP4SSE)' done , took over 60hrs

then started, Gamma-ray pulsar work, finished 2 seemed ok but, then project started one unit then stopped, moved to another, then stopped, moved to another, then stopped, then went to the 2 finished items and marked them, error while computing.

also kept getting 'waiting for memory'

----------------

I have cleared BOINC again off computer (unless there's something hidden ?), can someone , tell me what is the best Computation settings for my Einstein project, it will run 24hrs a day. It used to run ok, is there a way to get preferences back to default and start again ?
