I am running only 2 projects; seti and einstein.

I have the preferences set to allow up to 20G of disk space.

SETI uses about 28M and Einstein uses about 206M leaving about 19.75G available.

However- most of my Einstein projects are failing with a code 112 (not enough disk space).

SETI never fails.

Whats up with this?

E@H occupies ~800 MB on one of my machines currently. Your milage may vary.
If you want, post your disk settings, so we can double check.

Boinc disk settings are: Use

Boinc disk settings are:
Use at most = 25 Gig
Leave at least 100 Gig
Use at most 25%

Disk size is 1.5 Tera
Disk available 867 Gig

Just one partition?

No, but 867 Gig out of 1 Tera

No, but 867 Gig out of 1 Tera is available on C: which is the running drive. Then the swap file is on a 24 Gig dedicated partition.

Hi,

BOINC scheduler thinks:

2012-04-30 17:41:43.6143 [PID=7079 ] [send] available disk 24.77 GB, work_buf_min 86400

but error message is

7.0.25

There is not enough space on the disk. (0x70) - exit code 112 (0x70)

That error seems not related to your disk settings. There is sth. else amiss. Not sure what actually, sorry.

If you want to avoid trouble now and in the future as your disk fills up with your other uses (beside BOINC), make the three settings 25GB, 0.01GB, and 90% respectively. I suspect that your current settings will continue to give you problems even if you relax them a little, as your other uses continue to slowly fill your disk.

Cheers,
Gary.

I tried this. Am still set

I tried this. Am still set at those settings in fact, but another task just failed.

This is obviously a problem that has nothing to do with disk space or disk setting.

Does anyone else have any clue? I am spending a LOT of processor time for nothing atm.

Another clue could be that the only project to faiol is the Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search v1.12 (SSE2)

I am having a similar

I am having a similar problem. I am getting the following messages on about 40% of the Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search v1.13 (SSE2) work units. The rest work ok. The runtime is always around 174 seconds and the CPU time is always 0. I have 1.5 Terabyte drives with around 800 gig free. I haven't changed the BOINC settings from their defaults.

7.0.25
