Hard to top that Jeroen

Those 2 hosts you have doing most of that are nice.

Thanks. I have been pretty happy with the production and power consumption of these systems overall.

It did take me several years

It did take me several years before I finally decided on adding a laptop to my collection but I finally did one year ago on June 15th

And of course the first thing I did was d/l Boinc and put it to work.

So 24/7 for the entire year it only stops to do the occasional reboot and since it has a cuda card I would leave a small fan blowing on it and had it in the coldest room in the house at night.

Since it has not failed once I guess I must have picked out the right one for the price ($775)

Now lets see if it will do a year of the new BRP5's

(it ran 2 BRP's,7 GRP's and a T4T at the same time the entire year)

@ magic, that is quite a good price for such a stable running machine. my Thinkpad W530 was a bit more expensive and crunches a bit faster. but hey, it is fun!

Yeah wasn't your Thinkpad twice as much??

I see some at $1500 and up to over $2000 (did a google check)

One thing I discovered the first day was running the GPU's here ran the battery dead real fast so I usually have it plugged in but if I want to run on the battery for an hour I will just set the GPU "snooze" until I am ready to plug back in and use the fan since a laptop running the GPUs for the project will heat up the GeForce 610M and I am glad I got one with 8GB of DDR3

And it didn't make much difference leaving a core free so I run all 8 cores doing GRP's and T4T ....and some LHC's once in a while too.

I do not need an extra fan, I have about 20°C to 28°C in my room. The GPU Quadro K1000M has 70°C to 80°C then, the cores i7 about 88°C to 98°C then. Maybe that is the difference in price then.

This isn't really a milestone...

I just looked at Boinc Stats and it showed my Credit per Day for Einstein at 6,666.
