Today, I looked around some stats and noticed, that Einstein@Home has reached the number of more than 50.000 active, crunching hosts nearly a month ago.
Actual it seems to be more than 60.000 hosts !
Found this on www.boincstats.com
Congratulations !

Errrm...Perhaps you would like to explain how you came to the conclusion that all registered hosts are active.
Be lucky,
Neil

Because the graphic is titled: "Total number of hosts (last 30 days)"

And that makes them active? Think again!

I think you are the one who needs to "think again". If you care to look you will find that there are actually around 170,000 registered hosts in the database of which approximately 65,000 have been "alive" enough to have returned results and been given credit. Exactly how many of them are still "alive" right at this moment is, I guess, a moot point. However, why are you nitpicking the original posters' point which was surely that the project is to be congratulated on its success as measured by the large number of contributing hosts?
Cheers,
Gary.

From BOINC-Stats-Main-Page: Only users, teams, hosts and countries with at least one (1) total credit are listed !
So, it is clear, that the discussed number of hosts is a number of hosts, that have returned results succesfull. They are not only registered !
Supporting BOINC, a great concept !
