s6 bucket out of 930000 results only 636 were invalid

But out of 710,000 BRP3 results there are already about 3000 , whats the use of doing tasks if they get junked ?

This was one of the reasons I gave up on SETI years ago

Quite so. I used to find it really irritating, so now I have opted to process only S6 Bucket work units. That’s one way you can continue to contribute while avoiding the aggro. :)

Not sure, but my old pc with an old 8800GT only got validate errors when I let it run BRPcuda tasks again. I was busy overclocking it quite heavily so perhaps that caused it, but it's now happily crunching away at seti without problems.

As you pointed out yourself In the thread sparting message, the GW search has a very low rate od invalid results. If you get persistent validation problems on a single host, it's almost always related to a hardware failure: poor cooling, bad memory, CPU failure etc.
