Better don't copy. ;)
You can delete everything in the 'einstein.phys.uwm.edu' folder, so you get new files and your work will be resent to you. No need to copy and it will make sure they are not corrupted.
To clarify my mind, does your AMD server run X11? Would somehow surprise me.

All you need to do if you are using 64-Bit Linux, is to install the 32-Bit libraries needed for the E@H applications.
You can run a 64-Bit BOINC package without a problem.
If you use a 64-Bit science app(e.g. other projects), no problem too.
All the other apps around here including every CUDA app is 32-Bit only. So you need the 32-Bit libs. Some distributions like OpenSuse, that I use, install them by default. Not sure about Ubuntu, but I think they don't.
What I found on the net, you might try this command in a terminal(or via SSH):
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

Unfortunately, I sold the one in the avatar last year. But if you're in Los Angeles and want to go flying and talk about airplanes, science or computers, I have access to others.

I reinstalled the graphics driver from the laptop vendors support internet web page. But still the CUDA app crashes on startup. The GPUGRID CUDA app works without problems.
Any way to run the app somehow without Boinc with some additional traces/options to find out where the problem is and what entry point in the dll is missing?

I read something once about needing to do something special to use a Quaddro card, I don't remember where though. You might PM the users crunch3r or claggy to see if they know.

Just checked off-line with another user of a Quadro FX Mobile laptop - no, nothing special needed, except the driver.
Usual advice for general GPU computing is that the drivers direct from NVidia support CUDA better - if you can afford to experiment, I would suggest trying http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-winxp-266.58-whql-driver.html - the recommended one for yoyo's card and OS. But if you have special application requirements for that laptop, apart from Einstein, take care before upgrading in case the manufacturer has special features in their version.
