Hi,

Is it possible to use HD4350 GPU for cruncing Einstein apps? Appreciate any guidance related to drivers etc. My PC is 3942036.

No it is not, you have an ATI card and Einstein uses Nvidia cards. Dnetc, Collatz, Seti and other projects can use your card though. Prime Grid can use it too although you would have to download the APP software for it to do so.

You'd need the APP driver version for SETI too - and to download/install the application under app_info.xml as well - it's not a project-supplied application yet.

I have been away for a while

I have been away for a while with crunching. Where can I find app_info.xml in my libraries? Is it complicated to install AMD APP? Is it possible to gain some help in this forum?

app_info.xml is not something you would find in a library - it's something you would write yourself, to suit the needs of your crunching preferences and your specific hardware combination. Read Gary's (excellent) description in the problems and bug reports area.

Having said that, third-party application developers (if they're any good) will always help you out with a sample app_info.xml file or section to suit their app, packaged in with the app itself. And you can read the formal specification at anonymous platform.

IF you still want to use an app-info file even after reading all the warnings here is one that does work for the user that posted it in this thread:

I do not use an app_info file so do not know if that particular one would even work for you. But it would be a decent place to start. You might want to turn on the expanded error codes though when first starting out, Richard can tell you how to do that.
