Task use only 3% of GPU.
I have Nvidia gtx 470 card.
One task takes 10 hours
The problem is under investigation and is related to task or thread priority. See this thread for a discussion of the issue : http://einsteinathome.org/node/195515
It's a pain in the butt, they are working on it, but Task manager, you can select the specific app being worked on and set the priority to 'real time' to work it, and it will drop from the 10 hours to about an hour to get the task done.
Unfortunately, once that specific task is done, it reverts back to normal and the next one you get assigned you will have to 're bump' it to hi priority to get it running good again.
Another Issue I feel I should mention, if you are pushing your vid card, at times when it lets go of a finished task, the card can revert to a very low setting, as in below default, and you might have to reboot to get it to get back to where you need it to.
This is NOT a guaranty to happen, It has happened to me a few times with my GTX570, not a big deal but possible to happen. Honestly I will say it happens maybe 2 or 3 times out of a dozen tasks, so is not a constant problem.
They are aware of the issue from what I am told and are working on trying to fix it.
As a final note, if you leave your card where it defaults to, and let it run, it will take a bit longer but won't tweak out on you and still do fairly decent on tasks, when it hands off the einstein gpu task to whatever the next task is, from what I have seen on my machine, it won't downgrade.
HOpe this helps.

If god meant for us not to BOINC he'd have made our #$%^%^ shorter!!

Caused by the task priority being set by BOINC as "idle"... I'm using W7.
I use Process Lasso to set it to real-time, and my GTX 460 now takes 50 minutes to complete each BRP WU.

Process Lasso allows ALL BRP threads to be assigned a default priority of "real-time", so no maintenance work needed.
There's little point in speeding up your GPU as a GTS 430 is almost as quick as a GTX 460, so avoid the aggravation of it slowing down.
Currently have 160 WU pending ! !
