anyone know why my sound is getting laggy when i'm crunching with my GPU (Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 750mb)?
it's not just during videos, it also affects sound only, as in winamp

GPU load: ~10%
Memory load: 160mb/768mb

as you see it's not even close to being fully stretched, so i don't get it.

i got windows 7 64bit home premium

I think you are misinterpreting the numbers, 10% does not mean only 10% of the gpu is being used, it means 10% of the CPU is being used! Over at Collatz which is another gpu project, Slicker the Admin there, says the gpu is used to its full advantage when a work unit is being processed and the Boinc numbers are still in the 0.5% to 10% range. Full advantage to him means that the gpu cannot process any more data any faster and its memory is full all the time. I think your problem is that the gpu is tying up so much of the cpu, 10% in your case, then with Boinc cpu crunching going on too, there is just no time for the cpu to process you sound data in a timely manner and it is struggling.

I crunch over at Dnetc and here is what one of my lines says:
"0.05 cpu and 1.00 ATI GPUS"

I also have 4 cpu's crunching for Einstein on the same pc.
Why don't you try a test, go into the Boinc Manager. down by the clock, and do a right click and then click 'snooze gpu, then run your winamp and play a sound and see if it lags, if it does you then know your problem is Boinc and how it is using your gpu. Then click again to turn off the snoozing and play the same sound again, it may be okay if it is stored in the systems cache but try it anyway. If it is okay try a different sound, if it is still okay then either Boinc has not restarted the gpu yet or something else is the problem.

well, there's no sound

well, there's no sound problem when i'm crunching CPU only and @100% on all 3 cores (AMD phenom X3 8450 @ 2.1ghz)

but i'm not sure i fully understood you.
this is basically what it looks like (3rd one is the WU my GPU works on)

33% means that core is used 100%

so i dont get the "10% GPU mean 10% CPU" part of your post

if i change 2 numbers in the client_state.xml my gtx 460 can work on up to 6 WUs. GPU load goes up to 28% and memory up to about 700mb. CPU load drops to 16% per WU
then the sound gets REALLY laggy

Do you use any visualization

Do you use any visualization Plug-ins/add-ons in Winamp?
Try to switch off also the "EQ dancing bars/oscilloscope", switch to standard "classic" skin to see is there any difference.

For test try to play the sound file with VLC player (which uses its own codecs (plugins, .DLLs) and not the codecs installed in the OS used by most players).
