The "problem" is that you have an ATI card. So, your client keeps asking for GPU tasks and the server keeps telling you that you don't have the appropriate device availabe. ;-)
However, (as BilBg mentioned) that won't keep your client from getting CPU tasks.

The question is why is my client asking for GPU work when i disabled that in the preferences.
Sorry Mike, no you didn't. You may have opted not to request work for your (non-existent) NVIDA GPU, using the "Use NVIDIA GPU (Enforced by version 6.10+)" control. But you can't have disabled the requests for ATI GPU work, because the matching "Use ATI GPU (Enforced by version 6.10+)" control doesn't exist.
Actually, I tell a lie. It does exist, but you can't see it or use it. And the same at every project that doesn't have an ATI-GPU application installed. The facility exists within BOINC to inhibit those ATI-GPU work requests, but the feeling among the developers is that they don't matter. You'll never get any work from them, you'll never waste any download bandwidth.
The only thing the lack of a usable control does is confuse users like you with unecessary messages in the log. Oh, and pester the Einstein servers with useless scheduler RPCs. Oh, and annoy me into writing an explanation like this on each project message board in turn.
I'll have another go at David Anderson.
P.S. I'm sure you know already, but setting 1 would disable your ATI card in every BOINC project - you can't use cc_config.xml on a project-by-project basis.

My machine is crunching 6 units in 5 hours and i dont get enough.
Same at Milkyway.

Are you relating to the Einstein@Home preferences? There you can only (de)select "Use NVIDIA GPU". There's no preference for ATI GPUs at Einstein. ;-)
Do you want to use your GPU for crunching at all? If not, just set 1 in cc_config.xml.

@ Mike,
I'm finding that your signature graphic "http://boincwapstats.sourceforge.net/summary.php?name=Mike&team=Planet3Dnow&seti=9826&einstein=22961&style=2" is failing to load, and blocking the whole thread from displaying properly.
