I don't seem to have the "add projects' button in my BOINC Manager window. Running MAC OS X on a fairly new Mac Pro and didn't have any trouble setting up SEIT @ Home.

Under COMMANDS I have Update, Suspend, No New Tasks, Reset Project, Detach and Properties. No slider bar, so I believe I see all my choices.

Across the top I have Projects, Tasks, Transfers, Messages, Statistics and Disk. Again no slider bar, so nothing is hidden, I believe.

BOINC Manager does show SETI@Home as my only project option.

Don't know how to past a screen shot here to help you see what I see, sorry.

I have an account here thru BOINC and consider myself reasonably savvy for a non-techie, but this one has me stumped. Any suggestions/advice?

I'd like to run E@H while the SETI project finishes their server upgrades and burn-in etc.

Thanks, in advance for your help.

Depending on your BOINC client version, you'll have to look in the Advanced or in the Tools menu for the Add Project/Account Manager wizard.

On my Windows version it is above the project, tasks etc area. Here, in picture #5 is a picture of what I see:

You can see the File, View, Tools etc ABOVE the Projects, Tasks etc section. So maybe your screen is too compressed and you just need to make it taller?

OK. So this morning,

OK. So this morning, literally as I was getting out of the shower, I had a HUGE DUH moment.

Realized what I was doing wrong, dried off, went out to the machine, logged in, clicked on the RIGHT MENU, and had WUs downloading in less than a minute.

Thanks for your replies above. Im proud to be a new member of the community and making my small contribution

No, no. Sorry. This will just not do. Your technique is all wrong!

You are in the bath. You have no towel. You realise what you were doing wrong. You leap out of the bath. You then shout 'Eureka'. Only then do you run to the machine, log in, click on the correct menu, and the WU's download.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

We had something like that, like and dislike, but they were taken away as people would abuse them. So, without further ado, now you'll just have to kiss him. ;-)
