Just put Einstein on my AMD computer. It downloaded WU's for version 6.02. These are erroring out immediately. Error code is 255. It also says CPU is type 2. Will einstein no longer work on this machine or am i missing something? Processor is AMD 64X2 3800. Boinc version is 6.2 12

If this is a 64 bit Linux system, make sure to install the 32bit compatibility libs so 32bit apps can be executed on your system.
package name will vary with distribution

Directions for installing the 32 bit compatibility libs on Fedora and Debian/Ubuntu.
If anybody knows the names of the 32bit lib packages for other distros (Gentoo, SuSe, etc.) please add them to the wiki page or post the names here and I will make sure they get added to the wiki.

I'm sorry guys but this is

I'm sorry guys but this is nothing to do with running Linux without the 32bit compatibility libs.
The OP (Owner) is actually Jack Lass and he has at least 4 different user names that he has used at various times. These user names are jlass, jacklass1, Owner (ID: 215776) and Owner (ID: 345980). Actually, if you do a search on "Owner" there are about a hundred or so of them and I would suspect that many of them are actually Jack Lass. The name jlass seems to have disappeared and I suspect it has morphed into one of the many "Owners".
Jack actually has two AMD hosts, one of which is running Windows XP and the other is running Vista. If you check the jacklass1 name, you will see both of them attached there and currently crunching.
Jack has posted several times as "Owner" and I suspect that the various problems he mentions are due to the proliferation of different IDs he seems to be regularly acquiring. I don't know how he manages to keep doing this!! Jack, if you are reading, can you please tell us how you login to the project? Your correct login name would seem to be jacklass1. Each time you login you should go to your account page and check that your name is as expected there and that your email address is correct. If you find you are logged in as "Owner", change your email for that login to some rubbish value (eg ) and logout. Then try logging in as jacklass1 with your correct email address.
Cheers,
Gary.

I am using SuSE Linux 10.3 32 bit. All I know is that starting from SuSE 11.0 64 bit the compatibility libs are installed automatically.

Far be it from me to say you are mistaken but when you click on this Owner you get their account and tt says he is from Australia, Jack Lass lives in Maryland, USA. I hope this doesn't make things more confusing! He has a very nice place BTW!!!
RE: Far be it from me to

I actually might be mistaken about this particular "Owner" :-).
I did see the country (Australia) and the team (BOINC@Australia) but I didn't pay much attention as a lot lot things seem to be "unusual" with Jack's various identities. I do know that Jack comes from Maryland and belongs to TFFE. The real reason why I think this particular "Owner" may not be Jack is that the opening post talks about 6.02 (a Linux version) and I'm pretty sure Jack is Windows only. I had overlooked this when I composed my response.
Jack has actually sent me PMs under the name "Owner" but where he has actually signed them with his real name. He seems very confused about how he came to acquire the multiple identities. I was quite confused as to why there are around 100 "Owners" as I wouldn't have thought it would be the obvious choice as a nick for so many different people - unless it happens to be the administrator or some other standard account on something like Vista. I've never seen or used Vista so I'm just guessing about that. Seems like that would explain a lot if true.
Cheers,
Gary.
RE: I was quite confused as

I think it might be a default user name used by some manufacturers' OEM Windows pre-loads.
RE: I was quite confused as

The defaults for the administrator account on Vista is usually 'Admin' or the owner's name taken from the setup process. For example, mine is 'Mary'.
I also came across something interesting:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=1436567
This 'Owner' had an actual username over at Seti, but is referred to as one of the many 'Owners' here.

It was (and perhaps still is) the default user name on HP machines pre-loaded with XP. I know because I have 3 of them. But I am not Owner on Einstein. I am Spartacus! ;)
