You could, but you don't need to. At least one more "power app" is in the pipeline and will hopefully come out next week.

Yay! That is what I was hoping, and is the precise reason that I did not remove the app_info.xml file! :D

Since this is now the main App, should this be removed from sticky?

My idea was to leve this thread at top for a few more days for the people that got the 4.26 new now and want to comment on it.

However I'm not sure that in this case they'll find the thread at all. Any better ideas for where to announce and discuss new Apps, especially "public" ones?

Why not just a news item on the E@H homepage?

It might be helpful if you could clean up the Applications page

Oh that page...

This is automatically generated from the DB, and regarding the DB it's so difficult to get certain things in that no one even dares to think about how to get things out once they're obsolete.

You can remove applications from the ops pages, unless you're running old server code.

Indeed that feature was new to me. Thank you very much for pointing me to it!

The "AuthenticAMD" string is

The "AuthenticAMD" string is in this binary (since it was built using VS 2003). Are there any "poor codepath choices" being made because of this?

As I wrote over in the 4.32 thread:

Quote:
The App will probably have some CPU vendor detection linked into it (as the 4.26 has), but my guess is that the linear sin/cos code that we're using now isn't affected by this noticeably, so there should be no "penalty" for AMD users. Please try to prove me wrong!

I found it very interesting

I found it very interesting to see how akosf's T7200@2GHz with v4.15 fights against v4.26 and wins.

Taking into consideration

Taking into consideration sequence number and frequency, my Athlon XP 3000+ is doing ~9% faster with the new app.

Does the new app run faster

Does the new app run faster on a particular version of BOINC, or doesn't it matter?

Also, I'm not much into the graphics, can I delete the graphics exe file or do I have to have it in the einstein project directory?

Thanks.
