Does the new app run faster on a particular version of BOINC, or doesn't it matter?
Also, I'm not much into the graphics, can I delete the graphics exe file or do I have to have it in the einstein project directory?
Thanks.
The BOINC version will not have any significant impact on runtime and certainly no impact on claimed credit, so it doesn't really matter. Newer version will fix some bugs tho (and introduce a few more new ones :-) , that's software ), so updating your BOINC from time to time isn't a bad idea.
If you don't want to spend CPU cycles on the graphics, make sure to configure a non-BOINC screensaver and don't invoke the graphics from the BOINC manager. Deleting the graphics app will just cause it to be re-downloaded.

You posted this in a Windows 4.26 thread. Please be aware that as of this writing the current power user version for Windows numbered 4.36 is much faster than was the 4.26 version discussed in this thread.
