Einstein is a truly international project.
Please post here any interesting facts and details about the town or city where you live.

Hopefully we will be able to learn more about each other and where we all live.

This is where I live...............

Well - here we go to christen the new thread with a few bits about my home town Leicester, UK.

It has one rather spiffy landmark......it is not what it seems at first glance, it is in fact, the local prison.

Leicester has a few unusual museums, one of which is literally a stones throw away from me here. The other unlikely pair are close to each other here and here.

One of Leicester's most famous sons is Thomas Cook, famous founder of the travel agency.

On a personal note, there is another museum/collection here in Leicester which holds personal memories for me of my Dad (who passed away in November 2005). When my Dad returned home from war service in India, he worked for the local bus company until he retired. There is a collection of many of the old Leicester City Buses here.

Don't put your home town of Reno, Nevada down Jeremy, after all it's "the biggest little city in the world." But like Las Vegas, the developers and corporate casinos took over thanks to that creature, Howard Hughes, and made a glorified mess of all the urban areas in the state.

What Reno has got is access to beautiful, Lake Tahoe, Pyramid Lake, and Virgina City. Trade yah.

My Dad was in the Royal Air Force. At his funeral last year, one of his brothers told me that my Dad had lied about his age to join up and go off to war. My Dad was actually just over 16 when he went to India................
That sort of thing happened a lot, so I've been told!
