Just came back from vacation and every wu is errroring out. No matter if i overclock or running at stock, the wu's not only finished with an error i also get reboots an the system. if i suspend einstein it is running without problems. I have nothing changed on my system, are there any chnges on the wu's or on the serverside?? I do not know. Any sugestions ? for the moment i have suspendet einstein. every idea is welcome.

I also try to reset the Project, no change.

What is wrong ?

Hi!

Most if not all of those WU exit with an error right after reading the input files, because the app detects the input file is not correctly formed.

As you also experience reboots (the app can't do that), I'm sorry to say that the most likely reason is hardware failure.

It could be either the RAM, hard disk, or in general overheating.

So if I were you I'd check that all the fans are spinning and that the heat sinks are not full of dust. Next would be running hardware checking tools to check the memory and the disk.

Considerable effort has been invested to optimize the Einstein@Home apps, so by now they are pretty effective stress tests to uncover PC hardware problems.

Thanks for the answer. Overheating is not the problem, i am running on H2O and the temps are not the problem, i have checked it. A problem with the ram or the ssd would be a little strange to me after 4 weeks of just do nothing, but i try to check it.
Vielen Dank schon mal ;)

In which case I suspect your overclock was slightly too high and a component of your system, probably either the CPU or the motherboard chipset has become damaged as a result. I've done it to myself before.

First thing to try: power down and remove the power cord. Wait 10 - 15 mins and try again. This has helped me numerous times when there were errors which "should not have happened" and a reboot didn't fix. Oh, and if you didn't already try: just reboot.

Hmmm, do not know what the problem was or is. Checked the hd and the ram, no errors found, allow new work and until now reported some ABP's. Strange, now waiting for the wingmen to see if the wu's are validating.
Thanks to everyone.
