The "Heat Warning" expired at 9 pm CDT.  And now around 11 pm, I have all four of my systems online crunching.

Suppose to get rain around 7 am. Saturday morning.

WOO HOO!!!

So far the overnight lows are getting down into the 60'sF.  But by the end of the week daytime highs will get back into the 90'sF.

If your in a Hurricane/Typhoon "Eye" does that mean the weather is swirling around you?

Reference is the Florida bound Hurricane.

If another Hurricane is

If another Hurricane is heading for Iceland, is that a Blizzicane?

Reference is the Iceland bound Hurricane Franklin. [just kidding]

Today I had a "Fan" moment.

For the next 10 days the overnight lows are in the low 60s F.

So I went out and got a window fan  While installing it I was reminded I had no screen on there. Got that fixed.

Now all I have to do is open a couple of windows every night and turn on the fans. Instant lower A/C bill.

I do the same thing except my front door screen fell apart so my wife and I are trying to agree on one we both like, I want one that will let us get cross ventilation while she wants one that doesn't obstruct 'her view' when the front door is open. My problem is we can't open the door with no screen so she can't see out anyway. We do have a door in the garage with a screen door on it so I do leave both it and the door to the house open but the air doesn't 'flow' very well.

We had an unusually cool end

We had an unusually cool end of August week in southern Brandenburg, Germany, highs of 20-22°C (68-71F), one rainy day last week had only 15°C/59F. This week, summer is back: no clouds, 26-29°C (79-84F). Hot days are hardly possible in September, but hopefully we'll have a long Indian summer until end of October. Fingers crossed...

George, It was "nice"

George,

It was "nice" during the day yesterday.  Got to leave the house windows open all day.  Nice low in the 60'sF overnight.

Unfortunately the rest of the week it gets into the low 90'sF so I will be closing windows and probably shutting systems down.
