I just had an odd error. I have one task that was labeled as waiting for memory to run. It was about 30 percent complete and was in this state. Needless to say it skipped and other tasks were running because of it. I tried suspending all other tasks, and then rebooting machine with ONLY that one task active and it was still in waiting for memory state. I tried setting cpu / swap etc all the way up to get it to run, but still, not running and 'waiting for memory'.
I just aborted it to get one that would run. Any ideas what caused this and what I might be able to do to not lose any work next time I get one of these?
Thank you

Waiting for Memory

What are your preferences for
? What's the total amount of memory in that computer and how many cores are allowed to be used by BOINC simultaneously?

It is set to like 50 percent
)
It is set to like 50 percent when in use and 80 percent when not in use. There was nothing else going on at the time with the computer that I was aware of (this doesn't mean windows wasn't doing something stupid behind the scenes) so it should have ran fine.
THis one computer pretty much just crunches einstein nuggets all day, with the occasional download here and there.
Total memory is 1 gig, and it's a 2 core machine and both of them are used for boinc.

The Einstein GC tasks need
)
The Einstein GC tasks need well over 200 MiB memory. So, with two tasks scheduled, the 50% of 1 GiB may quickly be used up. More so if you count the windows overhead. How many memory is available on that machine?
You'll also have to match the "Swap space: use at most" preference with your actual swap space settings.
