I have the opperating system on a small partition (24gb), on a 1.5 terabyte disk. I would perfer that boink used as much as it wants of a seperate partition rather than the'c' drive; but i don't see any setting for that, if anyone has any suggestions contact me @ . thanks

When you install BOINC, click on the Advanced button. Select the drive letter and path you want. You will also have to set the disk usage settings appropriately. Depending on the mix of projects that you wish, and the number of CPUs allowed, the partition will need to be anywhere from 500MB to 20GB. 20GB would be required for a 16 CPU system with some of the projects that take more space. 500MB would be for a one or 2 CPU system with none of the projects with really large data requirements.
