I'm planning to put a faster processor on one of the computers I have Einstein@Home running on in the next few days. I'm not making any other changes, just the faster processor. Will BOINC still know it is the same computer? And, in any case, is there anything I should do before or after making the upgrade? For instance, should I click on the "No New Work" button a day or so before making the upgrade, so it has time to finish the work units it is working on (and doesn't start on new ones when they are done)? Let me know if I should do that or anything else first.
Thanks,
Leland Hosford.

After you are done, you should run the benchmarks by hand.
You may want to run the queue down (but it is not really required).
It will create a new host for you (because of the CPU change), and you will not be able to merge the two. At this point, you will have to wait until all of the WUs that are referenced by the old host are removed from the database before you can delete the host (will not lose credits).
