Watching some of those episodes may make it hard for you to get to sleep.

Ever since I retired I have been going through my second childhood:-) I have never been so free..
I just love the Thunderbirds' unique brand of physics. Like when the TB1 thrust is a minimum just before a landing, or there's less rocket activity with manoeuvring for TB3. Or the tunnel mole chews through the ground with nothing to react/brace against, or the nuclear reactor that blows up if more water goes into it. But that's the beauty of the fantasy, it's whatever the writers like. It's funny that I never really saw the puppet strings til when I was older and someone pointed it out! Probably the cleverest, of course, is all the pfaffling to get from the lounge couch to the pilot seat! Wallace and Gromit did a terrific rip off of that in A Close Shave, I think. :-)

Some how these scientists acquired material from a quasar and bombarded it in a cyclotron. They opened up a hole in another dimension where these creatures consisting pure energy started to possess the staff. To make the story short the head scientist rigs a hydrogen bomb which explodes because of the interaction with the other dimension time reverses to point before the warp was opened. Of course the scientists theorized this at the heat of the moment.. No peer review here.. The Drama..:-)

To become an adult again.. I was just wondering how the media at the time shaped culture with regard to science and technology.... To the point they put science and technology on a pedestal.. You don't have answer me.. I think I am discovering the answer...

I got the box set of all the episodes last Christmas, with swap cards, and in a special embossed metal lunchbox!
