ok, so i created a newaccount, d/l the boinc manager, created a new project with the acc. # and the url but the screensaver shows "BOINC manager is currently idle" in a lil red box, skippin round my screen. i really didnt know id have to d/l a seperate program just to run a screensaver. i really dont know what to do here, cause this doesnt come with very indept instructions. please som1 help me out here.

it tries to find the ripples of gravitational waves coming from the origin indicated by the orange crossbar.

It does occur to me that the default screensaver could be a little more helpful: perhaps say something like "Now downloading files needed by Einstein@Home" or "Network connection needed to download files", or somesuch.
People arriving from previous distributed computing projects are used to this process where the client picks itself up by its own bootstraps before any useful work is done, but I remember I did not find it at all obvious when the same thing happened to me on my first (non-BOINC) distibuted computing project.
