http://www.noao.edu/outreach/press/pr09/pr0901.html reports about two Black Holes being found that circle around each other.
Shouldn't these two produce gravitational waves or are they too far away to be detectable? In other words: Wouldn't it be worth it, "firing up" the detectors to scan the specific region and check if there is something being detectable? Or are all available detectors currently "out of order" (as far as I followed the news-entries of GEO600 and LIGO)
