Transfer a machine from one team member to another?

    We've got a family team here. Dad upgraded his computer and gave his old one to Mom.

    Is there any way to transfer the computer among users? Preferably leaving prior points with prior owner. Or is it simplest to "bring to a close" work being done on the machine for one user and bring the machine back to life with a new signin for the newer user?

    Couldn't find any tranfer or rename comments searching the boards.

      Draining, Detaching and attaching as the new user is probably the best way.

      A quick and dirty way that might work without draining is replacing the account*.xml file with one from the new user. The main drawback is that this may make any work currently on the computer invaild.
