Don't mind the hair. We're

Don't mind the hair. We're having... differences of opinion over whether it should just be one big snarl, or several hundred. Now I'm short two fingers, it's on its own *turn attention to correspondence*

Ah the drawn backwards through a hedge syndrome, commonly called a bad hair day. Let us know if you ever find the missing digits! Oh btw does it still drop spiders in front of interviewers?

Does it get radio 2?

The hair, or the vacuum cleaner, Chris?  I'd hoped to have a chance to take it apart and see what can be done to persuade it to reconsider

Judging by the several hundred snarls that sounds like a good Yagi array of half wave dipoles to get BBC1 TV. To get FM or DAB radio it needs to be vertically polarised, which by the description sounds quite possible. Singing vacuum cleaners are legendary, but noisy ones are, well just noisy until they make a big bang!

but haven't so haven't.

Well you wouldn't if you didn't :-)

And nails. And cat bowls. And doors. And shoes. And socks *bore everyone with one more* and duvets and milkshakes.

You missed one!! Exploding pavement boxes :-)) *Don't ask peeps, it would make strong men cry!*

I actually came in here to talk about packets of sugar though, but I'll do that tomorrow instead.

Being sent at 4am this morning, are we talking our today or your tomorrow which is Thursday?

Regards,

Confuddled of Sarf Lunnon

Really sorry to hear that

Really sorry to hear that Katherine. It's always the way in the aftermath to Christmas and the New Year. People succumb to the blues as well as aches and sniffles etc. Even medical teats can turn out fine. Things will look up they always do :-)

I'm having an up and down

I'm having an up and down week. Over my cold, but my normal allergies are back. Tomorrow will be interesting. Two people will be out all day and one at least for the morning. One other seemed to be coming down with my cold today; if she calls in sick, I'll be the only one there besides one substitute teacher.

I threw a tantrum when three

I threw a tantrum when three wire cooling racks wouldn't stay where I'd put them. I say three because there were three, but if I'm honest, it was probably only one that wasn't behaving.  I didn't let that stop me though. I assaulted all of them. Retribution really was impressively swift *gingerly waggle bruised fingers* Taking them on all at once was where I went wrong, but I'm coming to view that as one of my week's highpoints.

Just thought I'd mention it in case you're looking for ways to distract yourself from your horrible one, Kathryn. I do hope things look up much quicker than you're not expecting them to.

I'm afraid the sugar is going to have to wait, Chris. Firstly, it needs diagrams and stuff, to get round the complete media blackout of supporting evidence elsewhere - and because my cat just ate my Mars Bar. I managed a nibble, popped it down for a moment - and have just watched the last of its caramel layer being licked off his teeth. If I'd been quicker I might have been able to salvage something of it for myself, but I wasn't so I didn't.

I'm not too thrilled that I'm living in a climate that won't allow for marmite to spread this time of year either. Just stays in a big blob on the knife shredding the bread.

Interesting Fridays interest me, David, and those last two mentioned have been how mine has started...

*smile vaguely at everyone on way to bed*

I also got bitten by a box. That was shortly after my midnight so Friday too.

*come back to show everyone the blood blister* I only got over that outrage thanks to the cat.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I only have two wire cooling

I only have two wire cooling racks, but they could really use a good smack soak. They came out of the dishwasher still sporting quite a bit of the baked bacon detritus they went in with.

I, on the other hand, could use a good sleep.

I handle a lot of boxes at work, had my hand cut by a broken mirror and another time by a broken wine bottle. Can't say I've ever been bitten by one though :)

it is well known Annie that

it is well known Annie that wire cooling racks gang up together to protect themselves. You need to use the gang syndrome on them you see, sort out the bully and the others behave. So your midnight snacks consist of Mars bars and Marmite? Acommpanied by a hungry cat that likes to join in, hmmmm. The secret with Marmite is to have it on toast, else put the jar in a bowl of medium hot water for a couple of minutes to reduce the viscousness for soft bread.

The only draw back I have found is that the labels come off and you are not sure later whether it is Marmite or Bovil inside.  Yes people I have made a great scientific discovery that Marmite and Bovril jars are so similar as to be the same. Wonder if I will get a NoBellyButton prize Tongue Out
