Is it possible to move a result that is about to exceed the deadline into a faster computer that "takes off" an hour or so of computation and then move it back for the finish?
Yes it would be possible. It would involve moving the hole boinc directory to the faster computer, and move it back again before it was time to report the results
A single WU’s i am not so chore of.
Then you're really interested in a subject, there is no way to avoid it. You have to read the Manual.

This is not a good idea. You run the danger of resetting the whole project for that particular host. When the client starts up, it will detect that the cpu has changed and throw out all current WUs. It will generate a new hostid and download new WUs.

Even if you are a little late, you will still probably get credit. If you are only a tiny bit late, the project will probably not have generated and sent the replacement yet at which point the replacement will be canceled before it was sent (not needed).
You will get credit for a late result if it is returned before all of the replacements have been returned and validated, or if a consensus was reached without all of the replacements, until such a time as all of the replacements are returned or timed out. I believe that it will even get credit up to the time that the the WU is removed from the DB.
