Tasks at 100% but keep running

I have a recurring problem where some tasks get to 100% but maintain the "Running" status, and the elapsed time just keeps increasing. I have tasks that look like they took a little over 5 hrs (I'm assuming CPU time, not real time) to get to 100%, but they look like they are just continuing to process and their Deadline was several days ago.  This seems to have the effect of killing my apparent output.

In another post a user said that they had "stalled" tasks, and when they tried clicking Suspend and then Resume, the tasks got going again. Not exactly my problem, but I tried it on one task anyway.  No change.

I'm running BOINC Manager v7.6.22, on an iMac with OS X 10.11.6. The only other BOINC project I run is SETI@home.

In the past I've just set my Einstein project to "Won't get new tasks," so that eventually I'm just running SETI. Then, maybe weeks later, I'll let Einstein get new tasks and look for whether they are completing properly.  I don't monitor it closely, but I could if it would help troubleshoot this issue.

I would greatly appreciate any help the community can provide.

Thanks,

We see this behavior from

We see this behavior from time to time on FGRPB1 tasks. If it stays at 100% for more than 2 hours or the deadline is already past you can abort the task. It will get resend to another computer and gets finished there.

I have this same issue for

I have this same issue for FGRPSSE tasks.  I tried suspend/resume but did not help, therefore I have aborted all FGRPSSE tasks until I see that a fix has been posted.  I have the latest version of Mac OS (10.12.4) and BOINC Manager (7.6.34).  This will free up my computer for other tasks which behave better.

Thanks to a volunteer who

Thanks to a volunteer who send as the local files of such a task we have a lead on what is going on. So far this seems to be restricted to Mac and has to do with file handling when a task is finished.
