Hi! I have been running SETI, Rosetta and Einstein on my new Intel 2.2 gHz Dual Processor computer. A couple of weeks ago I changed my preferences from 33% each to 20% SETI and 40% each for the other two, as SETI was giving me too many data tasks to complete in time.
Now though, I see that only SETI was being worked on, and my other two projects are past due, since they are not being worked on. Rosetta and Einstein both show "Task suspended by user" -- how did that happen? How do I get them going again, and will they eb able to be completed now that they are 3-5 days beyond the due date?
I will try resetting everything to the old 33% sharing.
Thanks! John

Task suspended by user
)
You can resume tasks by selecting them and pressing the "resume" button. The button toggles between suspend/resume according to the state the task is in. This is likeley the way the task was suspended in the first place.
Better abort the tasks via "abort" button. You most likely will get no credit.
Kind regards,
Michael

One way they can be set that way is if somebody highlights the task and clicks the Suspend button. You can suspend and resume tasks via boinccmd and RPC as well. If you didn't do it then maybe some other person did. So how many other people use your computer? Do they have their own accounts? Do the accounts they log into have permission to run BOINC manager or boinccmd? Do they know the GUI RPC password? How do you know that whoever is manipulating your BOINC setup hasn't attached it to a BOINC project run by hackers and that they haven't installed a "science app" on your computer that is now relaying email messages between members of a group of terrorists planning to kidnap George Bush and make him pay for the war crimes he committed. Well, OK, some folks say they wouldn't be terrorists if that's what they were planning but you do get the idea, no?
