Hi!

Your PC gets a lot of error messages like this:

Quote:

[16:09:33][1736][INFO ] Starting data processing...
[16:09:33][1736][ERROR] Error acquiring "real" CUDA device!
------> The acquired device is a "Device Emulation (CPU)"
[16:09:33][1736][ERROR] Demodulation failed (error: 1014)!
16:09:33 (1736): called boinc_finish

This looks similar to a known problem with BOINC:

Are you using a remote access method to log into this PC? The error is about BOINC being unable to access the CUDA part of the gfx card when you log in via Windows Remote Desktop access.

But for that it shouldn't do that. The OP is using BOINC 6.10.18, while BOINC 6.10.17 and above will stop work being done on the GPU when BOINC detects someone logging in through RDP. It will then put this work on hold until you log out of the system. It shouldn't crash the work or BOINC in any way.

The error message "One of the files in the registry database had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful. (0x3f6) - exit code 1014 (0x3f6)" is a Windows system error code.

To me that sounds like a registry corruption upon a reboot, but I'll ask Rom (Walton) if he can shine a light on this one.

Not a Windows error, but an application error. Which doesn't help the user much, but it should be forwarded to the developers.
