Buy new components and gut the fish. It helps to own a sabre saw and a Dremel tool. You can always donate the old dog to Goodwillie, St Vincester, or fill it with concrete and use it for a boat anchor. Some of us troll the junk shops looking for cases we can reuse. The guts go in the dumpster. Your question screams for details.

Hey, don't take offense at tweakster's reply!! He has a particular style of saying things that is actually quite humourous and not at all meant to offend. Also you shouldn't assume that a high RAC means that the person concerned is automatically going to try to belittle your efforts. The community here is actually very good at respecting all contributions.
I have to agree with tweakster, though, that I'm not really sure of exactly what you are asking. I notice that you have two computers listed with the project. Are you saying that you want to replace either or both those with new machines or are you perhaps asking for advice on how to upgrade them in some way?
If you could perhaps be a bit more specific with your question, I'm sure you would get lots of helpful advice.

That really isn't needed. If you simply connect the new machine to Einstein using the same email/password you used for the original, all credit stays with the account. You will not be able to merge the 2 machines unless they are VERY similar, ie- same CPU, O/S, etc. Better yet, let both crunch; the more the better (says the guy with 7 PC's crunching various projects)! Enjoy your new machine.
Will try and find another power socket that her at home does not use. These old English cottages do not have shed loads like houses in the States!
Have you checked your E@H pc id 957714 recently? It looks a bit woobly.

Yeah, moved 957714 (AMD 3800+ x2) and my AMD 4200+ x2 over to SETI until they figure out the validation problem. I am down to one core from my AMD 5600+ X2 running Einstein at the moment. I got a little fed up with crunching for 20+ hours and getting 0 credit. I plan on moving the 3 AMD machines and my one Intel Linux machine back to Einstein once they get things figured out.
PS- I'll trade you a house in the states with more outlets than I need for a little English cottage.
It's good to see that you are getting some answers.
Your slowest computer is a PIII 800MHz by the look of it - more than satisfactory to crunch EAH even if it appears a little slow at the moment. If "She who must be obeyed" has restricted your access to extra powerpoints, just get youself a 4 or 6 outlet powerboard and start building your little farm :). You will soon get totally hooked ... :).
If you are feeling adventurous, there are three things that you might consider:-
1. You could get a 30% improvement for the PIII by using Linux instead of Windows
2. If you're not *that* adventurous, you could wait a little until the optimised apps appear and then see an even larger improvement.
3. PIII 800s are (usually) very easily upgraded to PIII 1Gig by buying a CPU, eg on ebay. This would be quite cheap and would get you a nice speedup immediately. Even if you've never attempted something like this before, don't be put off by thinking it to be too difficult. If you can figure out how to open the case, you have done about 50% of the job anyway :).
